Bidido in the Bank

Bidido in the BankBidido, the one-eyed Adondi gangster, appears several times in my novel Silver Threads and gets a mention in my second novel, The Centaurian Bud Vase.

In "The Tartian Egg," a chapter from Silver Threads, the antique dealer, Pierre Bordeaux, a skink, accidentally discovers a fantastically valuable artifact while on a buying junket to Acapulco. When he returns home to Panjandrum, he considers selling it to the only person on the planet who can pay what it is worth. Unfortunately, that person, Bidido, is a powerful gangster and, if Pierre wants to survive the sale, he must go about it in the right way.

My Bidido model is a modification of the Sol version of Michael 4. He turned out to be a good example of the "poke through" problem. Everything was going fine. I got him into his business suit, gave him a gruff expression, and then installed a standing pose. Unfortunately, in this pose, his upper arms "poked through" his suit's sleeves. In this case, the problem was simple to fix: I just made his left and right shoulders (which include his upper arms) "invisible." No more poke through.

The picture that accompanies this post shows Bidido waiting impatiently in front of the televator for Pierre to arrive at the bank. Actually, the background picture shows the antique elevator doors from our old Post Office Building here in El Dorado, but I thought it made a pretty good "bank" backdrop.
